Hi! I am, David Barnette. and I have been teaching at Austin elementary for 24 years. I have taught the marimba band for 19 years. I convinced my wife that marimba was "where it is at" for her school.
We are the Barnettes. We have two kids who attended Newton Rayzor, both who are currently learning what it really means when both parents are music teachers! Lots of practice and performances... most of which they do not participate in yet! We are happy to share our love of music with all kiddos who are willing to learn. :)
Hi! I am Cheree' Barnette and I have been teaching at Newton Rayzor for 21 years. I have taught the marimba ensemble, Tamba, for 17 1/2 years. Since our school is an IB school, I thought that marimba might be a great match for us. I love seeing the joy in the kids' faces when they create music togther!
