Hi!  I am, David Barnette.  and I have been teaching at Austin elementary for 25 years. I have taught the marimba band for 20 years.   I  convinced my wife that marimba was "where it is at" for her school.

We are the Barnettes.  We have two kids (Aiden & Hadley) who are college age now.  They grew up participating in Mrs. Barnette's marimba band at school and have been attending Marimba Camp since they were each about 4 years old.  Now, they help teach students and run this camp with us! We are happy to share our love of music with all kiddos who are willing to learn.  :)

Hi! I am Cheree' Barnette and I have been teaching at Newton Rayzor for 22 years.  I have taught the marimba ensemble, Tamba, for 18 1/2 years.  Since my school is an IB school, (and some convincing from Mr. B) I thought that marimba might be a great match for my school  I love seeing the joy in the kids' faces when they create music together!
